Found this for you possibly it will help. This is from another website *VASTRAP, Vastrap Checkered Plate 0, 0,0.09375, 0.25,0.25, 0.25,-0.25 90, 0.125,0.21875, 0.25,0.25, 0.25,-0.25 Close the file and save it as 'Vastrap.pat'. This hatch will produce a pattern like this: Even though I defined the pattern with 0 and 90 degree lines, you can rotate the pattern to get the desired effect. I made the pattern at 0 and 90 degrees to avoid having to calculate the angles. (Chicken hey!) As I said at the beginning, simple hatch patterns are quite easy to create, but the complicated one's?
Well, that's another story. Would you like a couple of hundred hatch patterns to play around with and analyze? Some simple, some 'very' complicated! Then just place your mouse and click. Here are some questions and a description of what I did--I hope something in here may provide a clue.
Huawei p6 pro. I also have AS2016, so the options should be the same as on your install. What kind of GA drawing are you creating? Are you using the 'checker plate' option under 'Grating Class' when you create the grating? I went to the Drawing Style Manager and under Drawing Styles>User>5 - Assemblies>Assembly - Grating>Mp Top. In the left side I clicked on the 'Assignment Categories' tab on the right side of the window. There I checked the boxes 1 through 3 for the GA related items. Can you confirm that these boxes are checked for your installation?
I also defined the grating object as a main part. So far, I can see the grating as checker plate only if I choose '3 - Plan view - Gratings' out of the available drawing styles. If I find anything else later I will post back to let you know. Well, I finally got it to look like we want.
I found a post that shared a simple checker plate.pat file, then found a knowledge base doc on how to load it, then another knowledge base doc to help figure out where I went wrong trying to load the.pat. BTW, loading it in AS did not work, I had to load in ACAD2016,,,, once all this was done AS did apply the hatch like we wanted (pic A), though at scale that could not be modified. Once we had the detail dwg, we were able to explode the green detail boxes, then scale the hatch normally (pic B).
OK, after hours of hair pulling, I have something that will work. As usual what has taken 6 hrs to figure out only takes 3 minutes to apply. I used this post from another forum: to find a simple hatch pattern. Thanks to @ @ @ I used this 'how to' to load pattern: I then used this 'how to' to correct my error in loading, (i had not put in the return stroke at the end of the txt) These pix are the results: Pic 'A' is what AS generated, I could not change the scale of the hatch to a suitable presentation, so I exploded the detail boxes, then scaled to suit ( pic 'B') intuitive.
