Give us a Modmail and suggest new Subreddits to add to the lists! Personally, I think that after over 1 year of patches, Rome 2 has finally been polished to a shine. The vanilla game is fantastic now, and I feel a few subtle mods make the game absolutely perfect. I use these mods in the new let's plays I have started on youtube so check out the channel to see them in action. Here, in my opinion, are the best mods for Rome 2: champLoo's Diplomacy AI improvement- AI becomes amazingly smart diplomatically Dresden's Sack, Liberation and Diplomatic Options Mod- Allows better strategy. Now you can choose what course of war you want to take.

Allows for strategies like scorched earth, where you can cripple a rival empire's economy by sacking their provinces and swiftly moving on without occupying them. Traits, Talents and Toadies: Character Overhaul- Rome 2 suffers from unimportant Generals-you don't care much about them. This mod adds traits and skills trees that allow you to make each General unique, both on the campaign map and on the glorious field of battle. Dresden's 4 turns per year- Allows generals and agents to live longer, letting you feel attached to your commanders for once. AI's agents live longer too so it balances out:D What do you guys think about these mods? I have tried Divide et Impera, and it is really good.

For example, in battles, flanking actually really matters a lot, so is morale, etc. You get more immersion in the campaign with 12 turns per year, a working reform system, and generally more realistic. I haven't tried it extensively to tell your more details, but it looks really well made. I've also heard about Radious mods.

If you're not interested in complete overhaul mods, you can try Rome Music Mod (REALLY AWESOME). Sell Your Slaves, 12/4 Turns Per Year, the heroes mods, Better icons, Improved events pictures, Grand Campaign modern map, etc.
